Former Manchester United prospect Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has picked out his best ever teammates.<\/p>\n

It is more than a decade since Cameron Borthwick-Jackson<\/a> made his Manchester United debut under former boss Louis van Gaal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Borthwick-Jackson\u2019s progress was halted<\/a> by Jose Mourinho taking over as manager, and nowadays he is playing in the National League.<\/p>\n

Most recently the former United talent was seen helping Macclesfield spring a momentous FA Cup third round upset win over holders Crystal Palace.<\/p>\n

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson\u2019s best teammates<\/p>\n

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson played a total of 14 first team games for Manchester United, leaving the club as a free agent in 2020.<\/p>\n

Speaking in an appearance on the More Than A Match podcast<\/a>, Borthwick-Jackson was asked about the best player he played alongside.<\/p>\n

Two very well known former players were his instant response, including the current Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cThe most underrated one is Carrick. The guy never loses the ball. The obvious answer is Wazza [Wayne Rooney<\/a>]. What he could do with the football was just stupid.\u201d<\/p>\n

But he admitted there was another player that really caught his eye behind the scenes at Carrington<\/a>, young Frenchman Anthony Martial<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cThat year when I was brought through, if we are talking about training\u2026 what Martial used to do in training was stupid. You could understand why he had them clauses in his contract.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe guy was a joke, an absolute joke.\u201d<\/p>\n

Where is Anthony Martial now?<\/p>\n

Anthony Martial scored a total of 90 goals for Manchester United, enough to place him 26th on the club\u2019s all-time scorers list.<\/p>\n

When you look at how Borthwick-Jackson\u2019s career quickly faded<\/a>, Martial was a huge success by comparison. But it is not so clear cut.<\/p>\n

Martial arrived for a high fee and he should still be flying for United right now. At the age of 30, he should have been at his peak.<\/p>\n

Instead injuries waylaid Martial\u2019s career. He was released by United in 2024 and struggled to find a club, eventually signing with AEK Athens<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Martial is currently playing in Mexico for Monterrey<\/a>, but he has found it tough, scoring only one goal in 15 appearances.<\/p>\n
