It isn\u2019t surprising that Golden State Warriors<\/a> forward Draymond Green has been involved in trade rumors lately.<\/p>\n

With the Warriors having their sights set on acquiring Milwaukee Bucks<\/a> star Giannis Antetokounmpo before next Thursday\u2019s trade deadline, there\u2019s a chance the franchise goes all-in for the two-MVP in a trade involving Green.<\/p>\n

On Friday, the four-time NBA champion opened up<\/a> on the possibility of getting traded after a lengthy and successful stint with the Dubs.<\/p>\n

“I’ve been here for 14 years,” Green said Friday. “I have no reason to sit and worry about leaving. But if I’m traded, that’s part of the business. I ain’t losing no sleep, though. I slept great last night.”<\/p>\n

Clearly, Green\u2019s been around long enough to comprehend how the NBA operates. Although the Warriors don\u2019t have a personal vendetta against Green, they must do what\u2019s best for the organization\u2019s immediate future.<\/p>\n

If the Golden State doesn\u2019t change its stance on trading Jimmy Butler, Green would be the next man up in a blockbuster trade for Antetokounmpo. Whether or not Green remains with Golden State beyond the trade deadline, he can take solace in knowing he played an integral part in the Warriors\u2019 recent success.<\/p>\n

Golden State wouldn\u2019t have captured four titles from 2014-22 without Green\u2019s two-way contributions, and that isn\u2019t up for debate.<\/p>\n

It\u2019ll be interesting to see if the Michigan State product is still a Warrior at the end of next week.<\/p>\n
