(Image Credit: (Saskatchewan Roughriders))<\/p>\n<p>By CJME News<\/p>\n<p>Riders<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\tJan 31, 2026 | 11:53 AM\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>A key member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders\u2019 secondary has signed an extension with the CFL club.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, the team announced that DaMarcus Fields has extended his contract for two years.<\/p>\n<p>Fields, who originally hails from Taylor, Texas, has been a core member of the team\u2019s secondary since joining the Riders in 2024 as a CFL rookie. Since then, he\u2019s appeared in all 36 regular-season games, the team noted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe posted career-highs in 2025 in defensive tackles (57), special teams tackles (11), interceptions (two) and team-leading eight pass knockdowns over 18 regular season games.
