Almost twenty years after making\u00a0their iconic turns as\u00a0Miranda,\u00a0Andy,\u00a0Emily, and Nigel\u2014Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci\u00a0return to the fashionable streets of New York\u00a0City\u00a0and the\u00a0sleek offices of Runway Magazine\u00a0in\u00a0the eagerly awaited sequel\u00a0to the\u00a02006 phenomenon that defined a generation.<\/p>\n

The film\u00a0reunites the original main cast with director David Frankel and\u00a0writer\u00a0Aline Brosh\u00a0McKenna. It introduces an all-new runway of characters, including Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B.J. Novak, and Conrad Ricamora. Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman also reprise their roles as \u201cLily\u201d and \u201cIrv\u201d from the first film.<\/p>\n

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is produced by Wendy\u00a0Finerman and executive produced by Michael Bederman, Karen Rosenfelt, and McKenna.<\/p>\n

The 2006 movie starred\u00a0Anne Hathaway<\/a> as Andy Sachs, a brilliant but sensible new graduate who lands a job as an assistant to Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep<\/a>), the demanding editor-in-chief of a high-fashion magazine. The film also starred\u00a0Emily Blunt<\/a> as Emily Charlton, Miranda\u2019s senior assistant, and\u00a0Stanley Tucci<\/a> as Nigel Kipling, the magazine\u2019s art director. The film was a huge success, grossing $326 million and earning Streep an Oscar nomination for Best Actress.<\/p>\n

In today\u2019s teaser trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2, Miranda (Streep) steps in time to Madonna<\/a>\u2018s \u201cVogue\u201d on her way to the elevator at Runway Magazine. She\u2019s joined by Andy (Hathaway), who, we learn, has just been hired to be the new features editor at Runway, despite Miranda (pretending?) not to remember their time working together.
