Although the Canucks have been heavily on the tanking trajectory, they picked up a few points on this stretch at home, going 2-5-1. However, the Canucks remain sellers as we get closer to the NHL Trade Deadline.

Utah Mammoth News and Notes:

The Utah Mammoth are right in the thick of things in the Western Conference Wild Card Race, currently sitting in the second spot. In such a tight race, this is a big game for the Utah Mammoth to take advantage of a very winnable matchup against the Vancouver Canucks. After losing three of their last four games, every point counts for the Mammoth as we enter the break and get closer and closer to Playoff time.

Vancouver Canucks Projected Lines:

Kane-E. Despite coming back on Tuesday against the San Jose Sharks, Lekkerimaki was able to get on the board with his second goal of the season against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday. He’s looking to continue with more opportunities on the main roster. Tom Willander was also able to find the back of the net in that 3-2 loss as well, symbolizing some solid production from the new, young image of the Canucks.

Utah Mammoth:

In what was a tough battle in a 3-2 loss to the Dallas Stars on Saturday, Kailer Yamamoto potted both goals, including one in the third period, to cut the lead in the clutch, but it wasn’t enough. He looks to carry on his red-hot stretch since coming back from injury on January 24th against the Nashville Predators, where he’s put up seven points in his last five games and five points in his last two games. JJ Peterka was also able to put up a couple of points while assisting on both of Yamamoto’s goals on Saturday as well.

Injury Report:

Vancouver Canucks:

LW Nils Hoglander – Day to Day
D Zeev Buium – IR
RW Brock Boeser – IR
C Marco Rossi – IR
D Guillaume Brisebois – IR
D Derek Forbort – LTIR
G Thatcher Demko – SELTIR

Utah Mammoth:

LW Alex Kerfoot – IR
C Logan Cooley – IR
G Anson Thornton – IR
D Terrell Goldsmith – IR

Next Game:

Vancouver Canucks: Wednesday, February 4 at Vegas Golden Knights – 10pm ET
Utah Mammoth: Wednesday, February 4 vs Detroit Red Wings – 9pm ET

Discover more from Inside The Rink

Subscribe to get the latest posts sent to your email.

Vancouver Canucks (18-31-6, 42 pts) at Utah Mammoth (28-23-4, 60 pts)Venue: Delta CenterDate: Monday, February 2Time: 9:30 pm…

[433
450,49,48,757,88903,24495,185113,14929,760,448,19123,19120,21642,764,82,16875,746,767,185114
post-449421","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-nhl","tag-brock-boeser","tag-ca","tag-canada","tag-dallas-stars","tag-jj-peterka","tag-jonathan-lekkerimaki","tag-kailer-yamamoto","tag-marco-rossi","tag-nashville-predators","tag-nhl","tag-nhl-playoffs","tag-nhl-trade-deadline","tag-nils-hoglander","tag-san-jose-sharks","tag-sports","tag-tom-willander","tag-toronto-maple-leafs","tag-vegas-golden-knights","tag-wild-card-race
["GET
