You\u2019ll never hit a bigger home run in your life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A call that just about every Blue Jays fan knows, and a moment that now will be immortalized forever, as Joe Carter\u2019s legendary knock will be made into a statue outside Rogers Centre.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement was made in a video the Jays posted to social media showing Blue Jays president and CEO Mark Shapiro and president Paul Beeston surprising Carter with news that he would be made into bronze.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNext year we\u2019re celebrating our 50th and we\u2019ve been spending a lot of time thinking about the best ways to celebrate that,\u201d Shapiro said in the video. \u201cSomething that our fans have been clamouring for and we both get emails about all the time. We\u2019re gonna have a statue out front in between Gate 5 and Gate 6. \u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirst World Series won on Canadian soil and something for our fans to be able to come when they come to the games to be able to spend time and remember and celebrate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">A moment. Immortalized.<\/p>\n<p>COMING SOON: A statue to commemorate our back-to-back champs <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy teammates from \u201992 and \u201993 are a special group, and we all understood what it meant to play for an entire country. We felt such pride wearing the maple leaf on our uniforms. Fans embraced us, and we loved them right back. This statue is for the fans,\u201d Carter said in a release.<\/p>\n<p>The Blue Jays won back-to-back World Series titles in 1992 and 1993, capped off by Carter\u2019s three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth of Game 6 of their 1993 series with the Philadelphia Phillies to clinch the title again.<\/p>\n<p>Toronto made its first World Series appearance since 1993 just last season, falling to the Los Angeles Dodgers in seven games.<\/p>\n<p>Blue Jays pitchers and catchers report for spring training on Feb. 11.
