His first No. 1, \u201cWatermelon Sugar,\u201d spent a week atop the chart in August 2020.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cAperture,\u201d the top-streamed song of the week, introduces Styles\u2019 fourth solo album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/music-news\/harry-styles-kiss-all-the-time-tracklist-1236161290\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">due March 6<\/a>. His first three sets all debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200: Harry\u2019s House (2022), Fine Line (2019) and Harry Styles (2017). In partnership with Billboard, data deemed suspicious or unverifiable is removed, using established criteria, before final chart calculations are made and published.<\/p>\n<p>\t\u2018Aperture\u2019 Streams, Airplay &amp; Sales<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/pop\/harry-styles-aperture-new-song-1236160595\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Released<\/a> at 7 p.m. ET Jan. 22, followed by the premiere of its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/music-news\/harry-styles-aperture-music-video-dirty-dancing-1236161333\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">official video<\/a> Jan. 23, \u201cAperture\u201d arrives on the Hot 100 with 18.2 million official streams and 27.1 million radio airplay audience impressions and sold 4,000 in the United States in its first full week of release (ending Jan. 29).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe single launches at No. 1 on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/streaming-songs\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Streaming Songs<\/a> chart, where it\u2019s Styles\u2019 second leader, after \u201cAs It Was\u201d; No. 19 on Radio Songs, tying \u201cAs It Was\u201d for his highest start; and No. 4 on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/digital-song-sales\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Digital Song Sales<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cAperture\u201d instantly develops as the 1,186th Hot 100 No. 1, and the 88th to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/photos\/billboard-hot-100-number-1-song-debuts-426225\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">debut in the top spot<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\t2 No. 1 Debuts in 2026<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tReflecting warm welcomes for new music in 2026, Styles\u2019 \u201cAperture\u201d is the second Hot 100 No. 1 debut so far this year. It dethrones Bruno Mars\u2019 \u201cI Just Might,\u201d which spent its first two weeks on the chart at No. 1 the previous two frames; this week, it drops to No. 6, while leading the multimetric <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/r-b-hip-hop-songs\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hot R&amp;B\/Hip-Hop Songs<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/r-and-b-songs\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hot R&amp;B Songs<\/a> charts for a third week each.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThis year marks the earliest that two songs have debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100. It surpasses 2024 by three days, as Ariana Grande\u2019s \u201cYes, And?\u201d debuted atop the Jan. 27 chart that year, followed by Megan Thee Stallion\u2019s \u201cHiss\u201d on the Feb. 10 survey.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tTwo songs have soared in at No. 1 on the Hot 100 by the end of February in just one other year \u2014 2011: Britney Spears\u2019 \u201cHold It Against Me\u201d (Jan. 29) and Lady Gaga\u2019s \u201cBorn This Way\u201d (Feb. 26).<\/p>\n<p>\tHarry Dances to No. 1<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cAperture\u201d concurrently debuts at No. 1 on the multimetric <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/hot-dance-pop-songs\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hot Dance\/Pop Songs<\/a> chart. It\u2019s the first song to lead the Hot 100 and the dance ranking since the latter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/chart-beat\/tate-mcrae-its-ok-im-ok-number-1-hot-dance-pop-songs-chart-1235875396\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">began<\/a> in January 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cAperture\u201d is the first hit to top either of Billboard\u2019s main dance song charts in more than two years, since Grande\u2019s \u201cYes, And?\u201d strutted in atop the Hot 100 and Hot Dance\/Electronic Songs.<\/p>\n<p>\tColumbia Nos. 1 &amp; 2 on Hot 100<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tElla Langley\u2019s \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d rises 3-2 for a new Hot 100 high. Notably, Columbia Records holds the chart\u2019s top two places, with Styles\u2019 \u201cAperture\u201d on Erskine\/Columbia and \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d on SAWGOD\/Columbia\/Triple Tigers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tColumbia is the first label in 2026 to claim the Hot 100\u2019s top two rungs, after being the last to do so in 2025, when Mariah Carey\u2019s \u201cAll I Want for Christmas Is You\u201d and Wham!\u2019s \u201cLast Christmas,\u201d both on Columbia\/Legacy, were Nos. 1 and 2, respectively, on the Dec. 13 chart.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tBefore that, Columbia last achieved the feat (with other labels having done so since) in part via Styles: on the Aug. 20, 2022, Hot 100, Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s \u201cBreak My Soul\u201d was No. 1, directly above his \u201cAs It Was.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d tops the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/country-songs\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hot Country Songs<\/a> chart for a 10th week.<\/p>\n<p>\tDean Dominates Radio Songs<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAs Olivia Dean\u2019s \u201cMan I Need\u201d slips to No. 3 on the Hot 100 from its No. 2 best, it becomes the most prominent song on radio, rising a spot to No. 1 on Radio Songs (63.2 million, up 1%). She earns her first command on the chart, as the song also lifts 3-1 to become her first leader on Adult Pop Airplay. It ruled Pop Airplay for five weeks in January.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cMan I Need\u201d supplants Alex Warren\u2019s \u201cOrdinary\u201d atop Radio Songs, after the latter led for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/lists\/songs-most-weeks-number-one-every-billboard-airplay-chart\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">record-tying 27<\/a> weeks. On the Hot 100, \u201cOrdinary\u201d backtracks 5-7 after 10 weeks at No. 1 beginning last June.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tBrit hits: It\u2019s a strong week for English artists in the Hot 100\u2019s upper reaches, with Styles from Redditch and Dean from London. They are the first U.K.-born acts to top the Hot 100 and Radio Songs, respectively, since Sam Smith, who did so with \u201cUnholy\u201d (with Kim Petras), in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>\tRest of Top 10: \u2018Golden\u2019 &amp; More<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tElsewhere in the Hot 100\u2019s top 10, HUNTR\/X\u2019s \u201cGolden\u201d holds at No. 4, after eight weeks at No. 1 beginning last August. It won at the 68th annual Grammys ceremony for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/awards\/golden-kpop-demon-hunters-2026-grammys-first-kpop-winner-1236169490\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">best song written for visual media<\/a>, marking the first Grammy victory for a song associated with Korean pop.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tTaylor Swift\u2019s \u201cThe Fate of Ophelia\u201d falls 3-5 on the Hot 100 after 10 weeks at No. 1.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tRounding out the Hot 100\u2019s top 10, sombr\u2019s \u201cBack to Friends\u201d descends to No. 8 from its No. 7 high, while leading <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/rock-songs\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hot Rock &amp; Alternative Songs<\/a> for a 15th week; Kehlani\u2019s \u201cFolded\u201d slides 8-9 after hitting No. 6; and Swift\u2019s \u201cOpalite\u201d keeps at No. 10, after reaching No. 2.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Harry Styles\u2019 \u201cAperture\u201d takes the spotlight on the Billboard Hot 100, debuting at No. 1.
