An emotional new story in Home and Away<\/a> will see newcomer Holden Dwyer face an awkward moment with Lacey Miller as he settles into life in Summer Bay.<\/p>\n

Lach Millar, who previously starred in rival Australian soap Neighbours as Richie Amblin, joined the cast of Home and Away last year as Holden.<\/p>\n

He was immediately caught up in drama when he was involved in the tragic train crash<\/a> that claimed the life of his friend Isaac<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While dealing with his grief, he has sought comfort in Lacey, with a close friendship blossoming under the tragic circumstances.<\/p>\n

But Holden is starting to feel more than just a friendship towards Lacey, and in scenes airing in Australia, he surprises her with an impromptu meeting at the Surf Club.<\/p>\n

He signs up for surf lessons, hoping to get closer to Lacey, but is disappointed when he finds out that, actually, Mali Hudson will be his teacher.<\/p>\n

Things become awkward when Lacey reiterates to Hudson that she just wants to be friends, but will this deter him in his quest for love?<\/p>\n

Speaking to Now To Love<\/a>, Lacey actor Sophea Pennington explained: “There is a genuine friendship there, but it stems from a lot of empathy from Lacey.<\/p>\n

“She feels for him, and there\u2019s a bit of trauma bond after he lost his friend in the train crash and she lost Theo.”<\/p>\n

She added: “Lacey just sees it as part of his grief. Mali sees the red flags, but she understands what Holden is going through, so brushes past these moments.” <\/p>\n

Home and Away drops new episodes on weekdays at 6am on 5\u2019s streaming service with a 6.30pm screening on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video<\/a> in the UK.<\/p>\n

In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 and streams on 7Plus.<\/p>\n
