If this leak turns out to be true, all other\u00a0analysts and insiders<\/a> were wrong, and some Samsung fans may end up reconsidering buying the Galaxy S26 series after all. A quick warning first: we do not know exactly where this information comes from or how reliable it is. The leaker is usually very reliable, but the source of the leak could simply be wrong. <\/p>\n

According to MysteryLupin on X (see below), the first EU prices from Bulgaria are much higher than the MSRPs of the Galaxy S25 series. Accordingly, the Galaxy S26 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage will cost \u20ac1,199, which would be \u20ac240 higher than the German MSRP for the 256GB model from 2025. Anyone who has put an eye on the compact Galaxy S26 with 512GB storage might have to pay a crazy \u20ac1,429, which would be \u20ac350 more expensive than the predecessor. <\/p>\n

According to the leak, the larger Galaxy S26 Plus will start at around \u20ac1,499 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, which would be \u20ac350 above last year\u2019s list price. With 512GB storage, the phone could already cost \u20ac1,729, \u20ac460 more than the equivalent Galaxy S25 Plus. <\/p>\n

Last but not least, the Galaxy S26 Ultra purportedly starts at \u20ac1,739 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, that\u2019s \u20ac290 more than the previous generation. For 512GB, buyers would reportedly have to shell out \u20ac1,969 (\u20ac400 more), and for 12GB RAM and 1TB storage, Samsung might charge \u20ac2,329 and cross the \u20ac2,000 barrier for the first time. <\/p>\n

A few things to note<\/p>\n

We do not know the original prices of the Galaxy S25 series in Bulgaria, as the country recently changed its official currency to the euro. Therefore, the S25 prices mentioned above refer to the launch MSRPs of the Galaxy S25 series in Germany. It is entirely possible that these prices will apply to the Bulgarian but not the German market, although we would consider that to be less likely. Bulgaria\u2019s VAT rate is 20%, which is 1% higher than in Germany. In a follow-up tweet<\/a>, the leaker also mentioned that the 128GB version might still make a comeback.<\/p>\n
