Google is reportedly developing a new \u201cImport AI chats\u201d feature for Gemini to address the problem of data transfer between chatbots.<\/p>\n
According to\u00a0<\/a>TestingCatalog<\/a>,\u00a0the new feature will allow users to migrate their conversations from another AI platform (such as ChatGPT) to Gemini.<\/p>\n Now, with that in mind, users will need to download their chat history and then import it into Google\u2019s AI offering. Unfortunately, it looks like users won\u2019t be able to migrate everything. For example, features like ChatGPT\u2019s saved memories don\u2019t appear to transfer over.<\/p>\n So far, there is no clear timeline for when the feature will roll out. However, since it appears in the chatbot\u2019s attachments menu in beta, it should be released soon.<\/p>\n Google has been making a lot of moves with its AI chatbot so far this year. In January, it was reported that Apple would be announcing a Gemini-powered version of its assistant, Siri<\/a>.
