iOS 26.2.1 was released last week<\/a>, adding support for AirTag 2<\/a>, alongside bug fixes. However, a small minority of users are reporting that it has introduced bugs rather than removed them.<\/p>\n Among the problems being reported are apps crashing, freezing, or lagging; connectivity failures; and severe battery drain \u2026<\/p>\n Mac Observer<\/a> spotted the reports on multiple forums.<\/p>\n Despite Apple\u2019s intentions, some users report trouble after installing iOS 26.2.1. Threads on Reddit and Apple forums list several problems that people are still encountering.<\/p>\n Common complaints include:<\/p>\n Apple Maps is losing saved places and favourites.<\/p>\n Face ID authentication gaps in third-party apps.<\/p>\n Control Centre and HomeKit triggers are not responding as expected.<\/p>\n Irregular storage reporting followed by sudden spikes or drops.<\/p>\n Severe cases of apps crashing or the phone rebooting repeatedly.<\/p>\n A minority of users say their device became unstable or very slow after the update.<\/p>\n It\u2019s worth noting that these issues don\u2019t appear to be widespread. At the time of writing, the two Apple support community threads have 141 and 46 people respectively saying \u201cme too.\u201d The Reddit thread has 277 upvotes and 78 comments.<\/p>\n All the same, this is enough to suggest that there is a real issue for at least some users.
