Samsung\u2019s Galaxy Watch 8 has returned to near its all-time low price, with Amazon slashing multiple editions of the flagship smartwatch to $289.99<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This $90 discount brings the watch within striking distance of its all-time low of $279, seen briefly in December, with an MSRP of $379.99.<\/p>\n

For those who prefer a smaller profile, the 40mm edition has also been slashed to $259.99<\/a>, representing a significant saving on the $349.99 launch price. At the time of writing, the savings apply to both graphite and silver cases in any size.<\/p>\n

While the 44mm size offers the best screen real estate for data-heavy watch faces, both models benefit from the improved Exynos processor, which makes navigating the UI noticeably smoother than on the previous Watch 6 and 7 series.<\/p>\n

However, there are still a couple of caveats. To get the most out of this watch\u2014including the ECG and Blood Pressure features\u2014you still need to use a Samsung Galaxy smartphone. <\/p>\n

Plus, while the software is top-tier, the battery life remains the Achilles\u2019 heel, with 24\u201330 hours being the realistic limit for most users. <\/p>\n

Still, if you can live with the daily charging routine (particularly of the smaller model), this is currently the highest-performing Wear OS device you can buy for under $300.
