KOHALA COAST, Hawaii \u2013 The Oregon men’s golf team will open it’s 2026 season at the 35th Amer Ari Intercollegiate hosted by Hawai’i-Hilo beginning on Thursday. The 54-hole event will be held at Mauni Lani Golf Course – a par-72, 6,913-yard track on the Kohala Coast, Hawaii, from Feb. 5-7. Live scoring will be provided by Scoreboard<\/a> powered by clippd.

\nThe Ducks wrapped up the fall slate with their best team result of the year, finishing third at The Preserve Golf Club Collegiate with a 23-under 841 team score. Freshman Sebastian Desoisa<\/a> took home individual medalist honors, after shooting a 17-under 199 across three rounds. Currently ranked No. 70 in the nation, Desoisa’s career-best round at Cal Poly equaled Owen Avrit and Eric Doyle<\/a> for the fifth lowest tournament score in Oregon history. \u00a0

\nTHE FIELD
\nUO will be part of a 20-team field that features seven of the last 10 NCAA Champions and eight top-25 ranked teams:

\n\u00bb Oregon finished 48-under par last season at the Amer Ari Intercollegiate, setting a new program record for the lowest tournament to par in a 54-hole event. The Ducks’ three-day total score of 816 marked the third lowest in program history.
\n\u00bb The Ducks finished fifth overall at Mauna Lani last year, behind four teams ranked in the top 10. Then-ranked No. 9 Oklahoma State claimed the team title shooting 64-under par.
\n\u00bb Tim Chang<\/a> is the only Duck returning to the Amer Ari lineup from last season, where he shot an 8-under 224 for the tournament to round out Oregon’s counting scores. Chang went 71-67-70 across three days, with the 5-under 67 standing as his career-best round to date. Chang is joined by Ramil Saelim<\/a>, who competed as an individual at Mauna Lani last year.
\n\u00bb Oregon freshmen Sebastian Desoisa<\/a> and Oscar Lent<\/a> made an immediate impact in the lineup this fall. Lent made his collegiate debut in September, taking home a share of the title at the Tindall Individual Tournament. After carding a low 7-under 65 in the third round, Lent posted a 9-under 207 to finish in a three-way tie for first. Desoisa capped a strong fall showing with individual medalist honors at the Cal Poly Invitational, taking the lead after shooting a stellar 8-under 64 in the first round and remaining atop the field for the duration of the tournament. \u00a0
\n\u00bb Freshman Theodore Vigna<\/a> will make his first collegiate appearance playing as an individual.
\n\u00bb Following a win at the Cal Poly Invitational, Sebastian Desoisa<\/a> earned a spot in the top-100 ranked golfers, coming in at No. 70 in the latest polls. \u00a0
\n\u00bb Head Coach Casey Martin<\/a> marks his 20th season with the Ducks, and has amassed an impressive resume. Martin has led Oregon to 18 NCAA Regionals and 11 NCAA Championship appearances, including the 2016 NCAA title. Under Martin, the Ducks’ competitive record is 2414-1198-42.
