CEDAR FALLS, Iowa \u2014 The UNI women’s tennis team returns to the Black Hawk Tennis Center this weekend for a pair of home matches, hosting Northern Illinois on Friday, February 6, followed by North Dakota on Saturday, February 7.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Friday’s matchup against the Huskies is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT, while Saturday’s contest versus the Fighting Hawks will begin at 10 a.m. CT. Both matches will be played in Waterloo.\u00a0<\/p>\n
UNI enters the weekend coming off a split in road action last weekend. The Panthers earned their first dual victory of the spring season with a hard-fought 4-3 win over Lindenwood, highlighted by a perfect day from sophomore Andjela Raznatovic<\/a> at the top of the lineup and a match-clinching performance from Abbie Peterson<\/a> at No. 6 singles. UNI followed with a loss at SIUE, as the match was halted after the Cougars secured the clinching point.\u00a0<\/p>\n Raznatovic has continued to set the tone for the Panthers, competing at No.1 singles and doubles positions, while freshman Lucia Schuknecht<\/a> has provided key points near the top of the singles lineup.
