This marks the second weekly league honor of Sv\u00e4rd&#8217;s career.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nSv\u00e4rd opened last Saturday&#8217;s matchup with Michigan State by joining forces with first-year <a href=\"https:\/\/nusports.com\/sports\/mens-golf\/roster\/isaac-lee\/12798\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12798\" target=\"_blank\">Isaac Lee<\/a> for a 6&amp;5 victory in foursomes action.\u00a0\u00a0The Jarfalla, Sweden native wrapped up his stay at the Mountain Lake Country Club (par 72; 7,375 yards) with a dominant 4&amp;3 win alongside sophomore <a href=\"https:\/\/nusports.com\/sports\/mens-golf\/roster\/mark-gazi\/12794\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12794\" target=\"_blank\">Mark Gazi<\/a> in his afternoon four-ball pairing.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nRecently named to the 2026 Ben Hogan Award Watch List, Sv\u00e4rd currently sports a team-low 70.86 stroke average across 15 rounds of play this season.\u00a0\u00a0He has a trio of top-five finishes to his name and has fired a team-best eight rounds in the 60s.\u00a0\u00a0Sv\u00e4rd appears at No. 16 in the PGA Tour University Rankings.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nNorthwestern returns to action in just under two weeks, February 16-18, for The Prestige at PGA West in La Quinta, Calif.<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"EVANSTON, Ill.
