{"id":458228,"date":"2026-02-06T19:50:11","date_gmt":"2026-02-06T19:50:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/458228\/"},"modified":"2026-02-06T19:50:11","modified_gmt":"2026-02-06T19:50:11","slug":"16-year-old-boy-shot-and-killed-inside-tim-hortons-in-torontos-east-end-toronto","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/458228\/","title":{"rendered":"16-year-old boy shot and killed inside Tim Hortons in Toronto\u2019s east end &#8211; Toronto"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Toronto police have identified a 16-year-old teenage boy who died after he was shot inside a <a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/tag\/tim-hortons\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tim Hortons<\/a> in the city\u2019s east end.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/70c8fc80.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"position:absolute;width:1px;height:1px\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Police said the daytime shooting happened just after 4 p.m. Thursday at the popular coffee shop on Lawrence Avenue East and Bellamy Road North.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency crews found a Kian Sam, 16, suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Sam was rushed to hospital where he died from his injuries a short time later.<\/p>\n<p>Insp. Errol Watson told reporters that no other patrons or staff inside the Tim Hortons were injured.
