{"id":464596,"date":"2026-02-09T23:00:47","date_gmt":"2026-02-09T23:00:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/464596\/"},"modified":"2026-02-09T23:00:47","modified_gmt":"2026-02-09T23:00:47","slug":"cineplex-beaches-location-to-close-on-feb-17","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/464596\/","title":{"rendered":"Cineplex Beaches location to close on Feb. 17"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"b-date-custom__date-item\">Updated:\u00a0February 09, 2026 at 4:50PM EST<\/p>\n<p class=\"b-date-custom__date-item\">Published:\u00a0February 09, 2026 at 2:28PM EST<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">One of Toronto\u2019s Cineplex locations is closing its doors next week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">In a statement, Cineplex confirmed to CTV News Toronto that its location in the Beaches neighbourhood, at 1651 Queen Street East near Coxwell Avenue, will host a final day of screenings on Feb. 17.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cWe can confirm our Cineplex Cinemas Beaches location will be closing as the landlord has chosen to lease the space to another business,\u201d the statement said. \u201cWe have loved being members of this wonderful neighbourhood for the past 20 years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The statement thanked the Beaches community for their support and said Cineplex looks forward to welcoming them at their four other locations in the downtown Toronto area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A sign posted on the door of the theatre says guests coming to watch a movie between Feb. 10 and 17 will receive a free popcorn with the purchase of a ticket.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/RGHKMLBF65DDHNYZFY5JDI25ZA.png\"  width=\"800\" height=\"449\"\/>cineplex beaches A sign located at the Cineplex Beaches location offering free popcorn ahead of the theatre&#8217;s closure.
