Day 4 at Milano Cortina 2026 brings the start of short track speed skating, an exciting new event in alpine skiing, and a big cross border rivalry game in women\u2019s hockey.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s a look at what you won\u2019t want to miss.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Alpine Skiing<\/p>\n
It\u2019s time for a new event on the Olympic program, the women\u2019s team combined. The event starts with one team member doing a downhill run at 4:30 a.m. ET and then their teammate doing a slalom run at 8:00 a.m. ET.<\/p>\n
Canada will have two teams entered: Val\u00e9rie Grenier<\/a> racing the downhill with Laurence St-Germain<\/a> racing slalom, and Cassidy Gray<\/a> racing downhill with Ali Nullmeyer<\/a> racing slalom.\u00a0<\/p>\n Biathlon<\/p>\n The men\u2019s 20km individual event starts at 7:30 a.m. ET. Racing for Canada are Adam Runnalls<\/a>, Zachary Connelly<\/a>, Jasper Fleming<\/a>, and Logan Pletz<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n Cross-Country Skiing<\/p>\n The women\u2019s and men\u2019s sprints will get underway with the qualification rounds starting at 3:15 a.m. ET. The quarterfinals will follow at 5:45 a.m. ET, then the semifinals at 6:55 a.m. ET before the finals at 7:24 a.m. ET.\u00a0<\/p>\n Olivia Bouffard-Nesbitt<\/a>, Sonjaa Schmidt<\/a>, Alison Mackie<\/a>, and Jasmine Drolet<\/a> will start for Canada in the women\u2019s event.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n Xavier McKeever<\/a>, Antoine Cyr<\/a>, Tom Stephen<\/a>, and R\u00e9mi Drolet<\/a> will suit up for the men\u2019s event.\u00a0<\/p>\n Figure Skating<\/p>\n The men\u2019s singles short program starts at 12:30 p.m. ET. Stephen Gogolev<\/a> skates second in the second flight. The top 24 will advance to the free skate.\u00a0<\/p>\n Freestyle Skiing<\/p>\n Mika\u00ebl Kingsbury<\/a> competes for the first time in the first qualification round of men\u2019s moguls at 5:15 a.m. ET, along with Elliot Vaillancourt<\/a> and Julien Viel<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n The top 10 athletes will advance directly to the final, while everyone else will compete in the second qualification round on Thursday.\u00a0<\/p>\n Then at 8:15 a.m. ET it\u2019s the first qualification round for women\u2019s moguls featuring Ma\u00efa Schwinghammer<\/a>, Laurianne Desmarais-Gilbert<\/a>, Ashley Koehler<\/a>, and Jessica Linton<\/a>. Those not finishing in the top 10 will compete in the second qualification round on Wednesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n Hockey\u00a0<\/p>\n A huge game in the women\u2019s preliminary round as Team Canada will take on Team USA at 2:10 p.m. ET.\u00a0<\/p>\n Luge<\/p>\n The last two runs of women\u2019s singles start at 11:00 a.m. ET. Trinity Ellis<\/a> and Embyr-Lee Susko<\/a> sit 15th and 17th, respectively, after the first two runs.\u00a0<\/p>\n Short Track Speed Skating<\/p>\n The first medal event in short track speed skating is the mixed relay. It will start with the quarterfinals at 5:59 a.m. ET, then the semifinals at 6:34 a.m. ET and the finals at 7:03 a.m. ET. Canada will start their run for the podium in quarterfinal 3 against teams from China, Beligum, and Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n The day will begin, though, with the heats of the women\u2019s 500m at 4:30 a.m. ET and the heats of the men\u2019s 1000m at 5:10 a.m. ET.\u00a0<\/p>\n Competing for Canada in the women\u2019s 500m are Courtney Sarault<\/a>, Kim Boutin<\/a>, and Florence Brunelle<\/a>.
