Aston Martin have unveiled the livery that will adorn their 2026 car \u2013 the team\u2019s first challenger designed by Adrian Newey \u2013 as part of a special launch event in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n

During the evening at Ithra (the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture), the squad revealed a concept car sporting the design that will feature on the AMR26, days before the new machine hits the track for official pre-season testing<\/a> in Bahrain.<\/p>\n

As well as being the first car made to the new technical regulations<\/a> for 2026, the campaign marks a milestone moment for Aston Martin<\/a>; not only is it the maiden year of the outfit\u2019s works partnership with Honda<\/a>, but the car is also the first to be designed under Newey<\/a>\u2019s lead and overseen by Chief Technical Officer Enrico Cardile.<\/p>\n

The AMR26 will be driven by the team\u2019s incumbent driver line-up of Fernando Alonso<\/a> and Lance Stroll<\/a>, who enter into their fourth campaign as team mates.<\/p>\n

Executive Chairman Lawrence Stroll<\/a> commented following the livery reveal: \u201cThe AMR26 represents a defining step for Aston Martin Aramco as we enter Formula 1\u2019s new era in 2026. These regulations mark the biggest reset the sport has seen in a generation, and we are approaching it with clear ambition: to build a team capable of winning.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery move we make is by design \u2013 considered, deliberate and built for where we are going. This year also marks our first season as a full works team, supported by world-class partners including Honda, Aramco and Valvoline.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the AMR Technology Campus now complete, we have the people, facilities and long-term investment in place to compete with the very best. Today is another important milestone on that journey.\u201d<\/p>\n

Newey \u2013 who will act as Team Principal alongside his role as Managing Technical Partner in 2026 \u2013 added: \u201c2026 is a rare moment in Formula 1 because, for the first time, the chassis and power unit regulations have changed together.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith brand new regulations, the best philosophy is never immediately obvious, and your understanding evolves as the car develops. With the AMR26 we\u2019ve taken a holistic approach: it\u2019s not about one standout component, but how the full package works together.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe focus has been on strong fundamentals, development potential, and a car that Lance and Fernando can hopefully extract performance from consistently.\u201d<\/p>\n

After a first taste of the AMR26 during the recent Barcelona Shakedown<\/a>, Alonso is looking forward to soon getting back on track.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is such an exciting new chapter for Aston Martin Aramco as we adapt to the new rules, new power units, and new ideas,\u201d the two-time World Champion said. \u201cWith Lawrence and Adrian, we have two of the most determined and competitive people I have ever met leading the team.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe past few years were not easy, but we\u2019ve learned a lot, and that experience always makes you stronger. Everybody in this team shares the same hunger to be competitive and I have seen how much effort is happening behind the scenes to give us a car we can develop across the season.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m looking forward to getting on track and developing the car as we head to Bahrain this week. I can\u2019t wait to push hard and help make Aston Martin Aramco stronger and more competitive.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stroll also shared his thoughts on the season ahead, adding: \u201cThe AMR26 is the first car to come out of our completed campus and the first as a works team with Honda, so it’s a big moment for the team. Our shakedown went well, which is important with a new car, and it gave us a solid first feel for it.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe 2026 regulations are a big change and a real challenge for all teams, so now it\u2019s about building our understanding of the car with the goal of continuing to bring performance upgrades throughout the season.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s great to be working with Adrian Newey and so many talented people at Aston Martin Aramco who are really pushing hard to make that happen. Next up is testing in Bahrain where we\u2019ll be gathering as much information as possible ahead of the opening round in Melbourne.
