\n\tKaley Cuoco<\/a> is done sharing her bed with fianc\u00e9 Tom Pelphrey.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a Feb. 9 interview on Dax Shepard\u2019s Armchair Expert<\/a> podcast, she candidly revealed that she stopped sleeping with her significant other after he told her, \u201cI can\u2019t do this anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDespite how ominous that might sound for their relationship, the couple is actually doing better than ever.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Big Bang Theory star, who shares 2-year-old daughter Matilda and several dogs with Pelphrey, opened up about their sleep<\/a> divorce in a way that feels refreshing and relatable. It all started when the Task star told Cuoco in a couples\u2019 therapy session that he was having trouble sleeping with their different bedtime schedules (not to mention having to share their bed often with several dogs and a toddler).<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHe was like, \u2018I can\u2019t do this anymore,\u2019 and I\u2019m like, \u2018I understand,\u2019\u201d Cuoco said. \u201cSo he started sleeping in the guest room.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cTom is a night owl,\u201d she explained. \u201cI go to bed earlier because I\u2019m the one who gets up with Matilda in the morning\u2026 He is a night owl. He writes at night. He reads. It\u2019s his quiet time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, it took a minute for Cuoco to come around to the idea. She revealed her complicated feelings after he first told her that he wanted to sleep somewhere else.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAt first, I\u2019m like, \u2018What will people think?\u2019\u201d she said. Which is a valid feeling \u2014 but definitely should not be the determining factor in what two people do in their relationship. \u201cAnd he\u2019s like, \u2018I never see you at night,\u2019\u201d Cuoco recalled. \u201cIt\u2019s not our sexy time, we don\u2019t cuddle, we don\u2019t see each other at night. He goes, \u2018Why do you care?\u2019 And I sat there and I went, \u2018God, I don\u2019t care.\u2019 And he goes, \u2018Let\u2019s try it.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThings turned out better than she expected. \u201cHe sleeps great,\u201d Cuoco shared. \u201cNo dogs in his way. I\u2019m up with Matilda at 7 a.m. She comes in bed with me. I can turn things on. I don\u2019t have to worry about waking him up. It just works for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe called the arrangement a \u201cgame changer,\u201d and honestly, we\u2019re so happy for them. Sometimes it\u2019s best for couples to sleep separately, despite the taboo that might surround that. Because a sleep-deprived partner is not a happy partner!<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a Nov. 2025 Instagram story<\/a>, the Vanished star revealed that her toddler often crawls into bed with her in the early mornings. \u201cFor people asking, no she doesn\u2019t sleep in our bed, in fact she\u2019s NEVER spent a single night in bed with us\u2026..\u201d Cuoco wrote. \u201cbut her favorite thing is to crawl in our bed when she wakes up and watch a movie.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s been Jack [Skellington, from The Nightmare Before Christmas] for the last month lol \ud83d\ude2d\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt\u2019s not hard to imagine how hearing \u201cThis Is Halloween\u201d blaring super early in the morning would prompt Pelphrey to sleep in the guest room. Thankfully, their relationship is doing better than ever with this arrangement, and we love their honesty about it!<\/p>\n
