UFC legend Israel Adesanya has opened up on his future retirement from mixed martial arts and when it could happen.<\/p>\n

When we\u2019re talking about some of the best fighters from the last ten years, Israel Adesanya has to be part of that conversation. He is a two-time middleweight champion in the UFC, and in terms of popularity, he\u2019s certainly one of the biggest stars that the promotion has had in a while.<\/p>\n

Alas, with Adesanya currently in the midst of a losing streak, his upcoming clash<\/a> with Joe Pyfer looks set to be pretty important. Some have even suggested that if he loses, he could start to contemplate retirement.<\/p>\n

As per Adesanya himself, however, there\u2019s a plan in place for what the future looks like.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cLess than 10,\u201d Adesanya said on his YouTube channel when talking about how many fights he has left. \u201c\u2026 Who knows? I know it\u2019s less than 10. It can\u2019t be more than 10. So if I fight now, I fight one more time towards the end of the year, maybe. That\u2019s two fights. If I do two fights a year, next year I can still fight. 2028 is going to be like, I don\u2019t know yet.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t see past 2027. I don\u2019t know. I don\u2019t think that far ahead at the moment. I do glance at it, and I just know I\u2019m on the tail end. I can see the finish line. I\u2019ve been seeing the finish line in the distance, but now it\u2019s closer.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLike I said, there\u2019s more to life than just fighting,\u201d Adesanya said. \u201cI can just be a DJ. That was four months of work, and I killed that sh*t. If I do this every day, like i do camps, f*ck. I don\u2019t just DJ. I perform. I put on a show. It\u2019s not the same. We also have Hollywood knocking at the door. But I rather go to EA, Activision, all these video game companies and do games.\u201d<\/p>\n
