To learn more about matching your work experience to the relecant NOC code and entry, visit our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cicnews.com\/2024\/09\/how-to-choose-the-right-noc-for-your-profession-0946707.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">dedicated article<\/a> on the topic.<\/p>\n<p>You can look up your occupation in <a href=\"https:\/\/canadavisaplus.com\/assessment?utm_source=cicnews.com&amp;utm_medium=article&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-10_six-high-paying-jobs-outside-healthcare-that-can-fast-track-your-permanent-residence-journey_71431\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CanadaVisa+<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Getting permanent residence<\/p>\n<p>To get permanent residence through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Express Entry<\/a>, you must be eligible for one of its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry.html#express-entry-paragraph\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">three permanent residence programs<\/a>, and you must receive an invitation to apply an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry-invitation-to-apply-for-permanent-residence.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">invitation to apply<\/a> (ITA) for PR through the Express Entry system.<\/p>\n<p>Having work experience in a priority occupation gives you an advantage by allowing you to receive an ITA in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/eecategories.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">category-based draw<\/a>, with a lower score under Canada\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry-comprehensive-ranking-system.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Comprehensive Ranking System<\/a> (CRS) than would normally be required for a general draw or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canadian-experience-class.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Canadian Experience Class<\/a> (CEC) draw.<\/p>\n<p>To qualify for category-based selection (CBS), you must have six months of full-time or equivalent part-time continuous work experience in a single CBS-eligible occupation within the past three years.<\/p>\n<p>To receive an invitation through a category-based draw, you must have an active profile in the Express Entry pool at the time the government holds that draw, and your CRS score must meet or exceed the cut-off score for that round of invitations.<\/p>\n<p>If you receive an ITA through Express Entry, you have up to 60 days to respond with a complete application for permanent residence.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re in Canada and have a valid work permit, you may apply for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/bridging-open-work-permit.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">bridging open work permit<\/a> (BOWP) once you\u2019ve received an acknowledgement of receipt (AOR) for your permanent residence application.<\/p>\n<p>Eligibility for Express Entry<\/p>\n<p>To be eligible for Express Entry, you must meet the requirements for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canadian-experience-class.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Canadian Experience Class<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/federal-skilled-worker-program-fswp.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Federal Skilled Worker Program<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canada-federal-skilled-trades-program-fstc.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Federal Skilled Trades Program<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll need <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/language.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">language tests<\/a> from an approved testing provider within the past two years, and an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/educational-credential-assessment.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">educational credential assessmen<\/a>t (ECA) for any non-Canadian education you wish to count toward your eligibility and your CRS score.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bottom-btn\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><a style=\"color: #ffffff;
