<\/a>KessCo has licensed Square Enix’s Final Fantasy IP for tabletop games and collectible dice sets.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The licensing agreement includes multiple board game deal. The first board game will cover Final Fantasy I to III\u00a0and head to market in Q3 2026. These early Final Fantasy games were created for 8-bit and 16-bit home consoles, and the board games will be designed to capture the spirit of the original titles.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Final Fantasy was one of the hottest IPs in 2025, with the Magic: The Gathering products (see “‘Magic: The Gathering – Final Fantasy’<\/a>“) and the Square Enix board games (see “‘Final Fantasy: Moogle Bounty Mayhem’<\/a>“) causing quite a splash on the market.\u00a0 Alex Kessler, CEO of KessCo, commented on this trend:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve seen how powerful Final Fantasy can be in the tabletop space recently, bringing longtime fans and brand-new players into a shared experience,\u201d said Alex Kessler, CEO of KessCo. \u201cWe\u2019re excited to partner with Square Enix and continue that momentum with\u00a0 our own faithful adaptation that honors what fans love most about the Pixel Remaster Era while delivering something fun, accessible, and collectible for the tabletop community.\u201d<\/p>\n

KessCo will also release collectible dice as part of this deal. These RPG dice sets are inspired by Final Fantasy I to VI Pixel Remaster, and pair well in retail shops with the Final Fantasy XIV TTRPG line (see “‘Final Fantasy’ Tabletop Game Line<\/a>“).\u00a0<\/p>\n
