Hamilton police say pedestrian was struck at around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Barton and Kenilworth streets on Feb. 9, 2026 (Duane Worth\/CHCH News).<\/p>\n

Hamilton police say an 70-year-old woman is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was struck by a car at the intersection of Barton and Kenilworth streets.<\/p>\n

Officers were called to the scene at around 11:30 a.m. and have had the scene closed since then while they investigate.<\/p>\n

Police say the older adult woman was walking southbound through the intersection when she was hit by a Chevrolet Volt that was turning westbound onto Barton St. East.<\/p>\n

The woman was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

Authorities say the driver of the Chevrolet remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.<\/p>\n

Anyone with information or video of the intersection during the time of the hit is asked to contact police at 905-546-4753.<\/p>\n
