If there\u2019s one thing Michelle Yeoh<\/a> is wont to do, it\u2019s play a million parts in something. The trailer for Sean Baker\u2019s upcoming short film, Sandiwara (his first project since he won three Oscars<\/a> for Anora<\/a>), dropped today and it\u2019s full of Yeoh. The film is set at a restaurant, and the teaser reveals that Yeoh\u2019s playing: \u201cThe Critic,\u201d \u201cThe Hawker,\u201d \u201cThe Waitress,\u201d \u201cThe Vlogger,\u201d and \u201cThe Singer.\u201d Of course, Yeoh playing all these women recalls her Oscar-winning performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once<\/a>. Here, though, she gets to interact with herself \u2014 the waitress picking up food orders from the hawker while the annoying vlogger sits down to eat. Each role has Yeoh in totally different looks; our favorite is the vlogger\u2019s bright-pink hair, but the singer\u2019s high glamour is hard to resist.<\/p>\n

Baker developed Sandiwara, which is set in Penang, Malaysia, as part of the fashion brand Self-Portrait\u2019s Residency program. Like Yeoh, Self-Portrait founder Hon Chang is Malaysian. The short will make its world premiere as part of the Berlinale\u2019s special screenings on February 13 before becoming available everywhere February 20. Then we can watch it all at once.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
