\n A man, who identified himself to the The New York Times<\/a> only as Carlos, says he was released without charges after being detained for questioning in the Nancy Guthrie investigation and told reporters he was shocked at being connected to the case.\n <\/p>\n

\n \u201cI hope they get the suspect, because I\u2019m not it. They better do their job and find the suspect that did it so they can clear my name, and I\u2019m done,\u201d Carlos told reporters as he returned home, according to a video from New York Times reporter Nicholas Bogel-Burroughs. \u201cLook at what I\u2019m putting my family through. Not just them, even my parents in Tucson,\u201d he adds, gesturing to the home behind him.\n <\/p>\n

\n The man told CNN affiliate KNXV<\/a> that he was held in custody from around 4 p.m. to after midnight, and was asked questions \u201clike where I was, what hours,\u201d before being told, \u201cI\u2019m free to go.\u201d\n <\/p>\n

\n Tuesday night, the Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Department said a man had been detained for questioning and they were executing a search warrant at a location in Rio Rico, Arizona. Hours later, the sheriff\u2019s department said the search was completed but did not provide an update on the person detained for questioning.\n <\/p>\n

\n The man who was questioned has not been identified by authorities. The FBI referred questions about him to the Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Department, which CNN has contacted for comment.\n <\/p>\n

\n When asked how he felt after investigators told him why he\u2019d been detained as part of the Guthrie investigation, Carlos answers: \u201cWhat the f**k am I doing here? I didn\u2019t do anything. To be honest, I\u2019m innocent.\u201d\n <\/p>\n

\n Carlos told KNXV<\/a> that as a delivery driver, he might have delivered a package to Guthrie\u2019s home, but he didn\u2019t know her.\n <\/p>\n
