However, we detected a data anomaly this afternoon which required further analysis.

“We will fix the issue and resume testing tomorrow.”

It is such a dramatic mileage shortage relative to rivals that Williams, which unlike Aston Martin was a complete no-show in the Barcelona shakedown, has surpassed Aston’s total collective mileage by virtue of Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon combining for nearly 150 laps on Wednesday.

There was also a much-needed mileage haul for the new Cadillac team, which ended the day four seconds off the pace, albeit 14th and 16th overall respectively out of 18 drivers.

Similar to Aston Martin, Racing Bulls missed the afternoon of action after clocking up 75 laps in the morning.

Reigning Formula 1 champion Lando Norris and his McLaren team set the fastest time of the opening day…

[441
49,48,578,576,577,82
0":"post-468515","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-formula-1","8":"tag-ca","9":"tag-canada","10":"tag-f1","11":"tag-formula-1","12":"tag-formula1","13":"tag-sports
["GET
