Are you job hunting in B.C. and need ideas of where to submit your resume? BC\u2019s Top Employers has just released its list of best places to work for 2026, and many are hiring for positions with great benefits.<\/p>\n

Mediacorp Canada Inc. revealed the 21st annual list of \u201cemployers leading their industries in creating exceptional workplaces\u201d on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cEmployers selected for this year\u2019s list recognize the demographic realities facing British Columbia\u2019s labour market,\u201d says Cypress Weston, assistant editor at Mediacorp, in a release.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe strongest organizations are prioritizing continuous learning, supporting knowledge transfer from experienced staff, and welcoming the fresh perspectives of those entering the workforce.\u201d<\/p>\n

B.C. companies are reviewed on eight criteria to see if they qualify for the list, including:<\/p>\n

\nWork Atmosphere and Social
\nHealth, Financial and Family Benefits
\nVacation and Time Off
\nEmployee Communications
\nPerformance Management
\nTraining and Skills Development
\nCommunity Involvement<\/p>\n

\u201cMany of this year\u2019s winners encourage employees to look to their colleagues for guidance on developing the skills needed to succeed in their workplace,\u201d added Richard Yerema, executive editor of the Canada\u2019s Top 100 Employers project, in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a degree of built-in trust that comes from information conveyed by a peer, and leading employers in British Columbia understand that this kind of internal development is just as critical as traditional training investments.\u201d<\/p>\n

So, if you\u2019re looking for a new job with amazing benefits, one of the winning employers on this list<\/a> might be perfect for you.<\/p>\n

We took a look at five companies that are hiring right now.<\/p>\n

The foundation is the fundraising partner of BC Cancer and works to raise funds to advance cancer research and care for British Columbians. These include a world-leading immunotherapy program; a first-in-Canada, province-wide lung cancer screening program; and more.<\/p>\n

BC Cancer Foundation was highlighted for its progressive time-off policies, including up to four to five weeks of starting vacation allowance as well as eight paid days off for the winter holidays.<\/p>\n

\"BC\u2019s<\/p>\n

FortisBC<\/p>\n

FortisBC provides natural gas, electricity, propane and RNG to nearly 200 communities across the province.<\/p>\n

It was selected for the BC\u2019s Top Employers list for its commitment to employees\u2019 learning and development, investing an average of $2,900 per year in training for each full-time employee.<\/p>\n

There are currently 89 positions open across the province at FortisBC, ranging from dispatchers to technicians and engineers.<\/p>\n

The Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB) assists over 16,000 individuals and families every month, all without recurring government funding. In the 2025 impact report, it reported that it\u00a0distributed over five million pounds of healthy food to its clients through the GVFB locations, and over four million pounds of food to its community agency partners, and the need is increasing each year.<\/p>\n

GVFB was selected for its support of parents-to-be with maternity and parental leave top-up. The organization also offers the option to phase in their return to work after a leave.<\/p>\n

\"BC\u2019s<\/p>\n

Pedalheads<\/p>\n

BC\u2019s Top Employers highlighted Pedalheads for its generous parental leave top-up payments for new mothers. The company also supported more than 40 local and national charitable initiatives last year, and gives employees two paid volunteer days annually so they can support their community.<\/p>\n

The Port of Vancouver is not only Canada\u2019s largest port in terms of cargo volumes, but also in geographical area, with its footprint covering the north and south shores of Burrard Inlet in East Vancouver, North Burnaby, and North Vancouver, along the Fraser River in Surrey and New Westminster, and Deltaport in Tsawwassen. This includes 160 sq km of water area, 15 sq km of land area, and 350 km of shoreline length.<\/p>\n

Vancouver Fraser Port Authority was named to this year\u2019s list of BC\u2019s Top Employers for its encouragement of employees to volunteer for causes that are important to them. It offers donations of $500 for every 40 hours volunteered.<\/p>\n
