\n\tWith less than 60 days to go before Sean Combs<\/a> is sentenced, the \u201cAll About the Benjamins\u201d performer has once again come up short on his desire to get out on a $50 million bond, a federal judge ruled this afternoon.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u2018As for risk of flight or danger, Combs fails to meet his burden by clear and convincing evidence for the reasons set forth on the record at the July 2, 2025 hearing,\u201d Judge Arun Subramanian ruled today <\/a>after a weekend of filings from both the prosecution and the defense on this latest release attempt. Combs\u2019 team, along with an August 3 letter of support from AWOL trial witness Victim-3 a.k.a. Diddy\u2019s ex-girlfriend Virginia Huynh<\/a>, have insisted over and over that their admittedly domestic violence perpetrator client poses no flight risk or danger and, thanks to therapy, has changed.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe judge wasn\u2019t buying it. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIncreasing the amount of the bond or devising additional conditions doesn\u2019t change the calculus given the circumstances and heavy burden of proof that Combs bears (\u2018At trial, the defense conceded the defendant\u2019s violence in his personal relationships. . . .This type of violence, which happens behind closed doors . . . is impossible to police with conditions.\u2019),\u201d the judge, who will sentence Diddy<\/a> on October 3, <\/a>added. \u201cOn this basis alone, Combs\u2019s application is denied.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHaving scored another win on keeping Combs in custody at NYC\u2019s Metropolitan Detention Center, where he had been in custody since his September 2024 arrest<\/a>, the U.S. Attorney\u2019s office for the Southern District of New York had nothing to say about today\u2019s order. The usually chatty the Marc Agnifilo- and Teny Gerago-led defense were also silent Monday, at least for now. <\/p>\n

\n\tComing out of an eight-week jury trial filled with details of violence and drugged laced \u201cfreak-offs\u201d sex sessions with male escorts and various girlfriends, Combs skipped a likely life sentence when the eight-men and four-women jury found him not guilty on July 2 of the big sex trafficking and racketeering charges.<\/a> As it is, the maximum sentence (which Combs will not receive) he can get for the prostitution verdict is 20 years, with two to five more likely for the 55-year-old Grammy winner.<\/p>\n

\n\tLaunching a de facto appeal last week,<\/a> the defense has made it very clear they plan to challenge the verdict as soon as sentencing occurs. And, even though Donald Trump<\/a> most recently said it is unlikely he will now actually pardon his old pal and \u201chalf-innocent\u201d (POTUS\u2019 words<\/a>) Combs, the bail denial may provide a pretext for another attempt at distracting from the Jeffery Epstein eruption consuming the administration. <\/p>\n
