RIO GRAND, Puerto Rico \u2013 The Marquette men’s golf team opened the spring portion of its schedule this week, carding a season-low 22-under par, 842 at the Puerto Rico Classic held on the Grand Reserve Country Club.<\/p>\n
The Golden Eagles placed 10th in a field that included eight Top 50 teams, including the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the country. MU finished ahead of No, 29 Louisville and No. 37 Purdue.<\/p>\n
Johan Widal<\/a> led the Golden Eagles at 9-under following three straight rounds of 69. The senior moved up eight spots during the final round.<\/p>\n Freshman Mischa Candinas<\/a> shot the team’s low-round of the week with a 5-under 67 in Round 2.
