The Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) often connects with families, service providers and communities to listen, learn and share updates on supports and services for children and youth with support needs.<\/p>\n

Details on how to participate in engagement and info sessions will be posted here as they are available.<\/p>\n

Upcoming information sessions<\/p>\n

Virtual information sessions are being held for families to learn more about the improvements to supports and services<\/a> for children and youth with support needs.<\/p>\n

\t2023-2025 CYSN Community Engagement<\/a>: Extensive public engagement with families, service providers and experts was used to inform changes to services and supports for children and youth with support needs.
\n\t2019 User-Experience Research: The ministry contracted two firms to identify opportunities to improve access, quality and coordination of CYSN services and programs.<\/p>\n

\t\tRead the summary of engagement and research findings<\/a> (PDF, 305KB)
\n\t\tReciprocal Consulting<\/a> led the user-experience research with Indigenous families, focusing on their experiences and journeys as they sought and moved through MCFD\u2019s system of supports and services.
\n\t\tKPMG<\/a> conducted user-experience research with families, including but not limited to Indigenous families and communities, and gathered information to help the ministry better understand the current state of CYSN services.<\/p>\n

\t2019 CYSN Service Framework<\/a>: The ministry engaged a number of partners on a draft version of the CYSN service framework in Fall 2019. These engagement sessions further informed the development of this approach.<\/p>\n
