During a BBC Radio 2 interview on the press tour for \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/wuthering-heights\/\" id=\"auto-tag_wuthering-heights\" data-tag=\"wuthering-heights\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wuthering Heights<\/a>,\u201d the \u201cBarbie\u201d actor and three-time Oscar nominee revealed she used to study McAdams\u2019 viral <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LCR7ckzdHmU\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">audition for \u201cThe Notebook\u201d<\/a> before her own auditions in order to get into the right headspace. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cI used to watch Rachel McAdams\u2019 audition for \u2018The Notebook\u2019 before I would go to auditions. She\u2019s so good, and she\u2019s so charming and real, and like, in it,\u201d Robbie said. \u201cI used to watch it before I\u2019d go to an audition, I was like, \u2018OK, just try and be as good as her.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tWhen asked if McAdams\u2019 \u201cNotebook\u201d audition actually ever got Robbie to win a role, Robbie answered: \u201cTechnically, you could say any part I got would\u2019ve been in thanks to her because I was always watching her audition before. It\u2019s just the commitment. I always watched it to remind myself that you have to fully commit in the audition room. And I got to work with her in \u2018About Time.\u2019 I had a small role, and she\u2019s the lead in it. I was absolutely no one back then and she was so lovely to me and my brother. I\u2019ll never forget how she\u2019d go out of her way to be so kind. I just love her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tMcAdams won the role of Allison \u201cAllie\u201d Calhoun in \u201cThe Notebook\u201d opposite Ryan Gosling, and the duo\u2019s chemistry helped power the 2004 movie to become one of the most century\u2019s most iconic romance movies. Robbie did not disclose which movies McAdams\u2019 audition tape helped her land, but it sounds like a quite a few.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tRobbie and McAdams have both been out on the press circuit this winter promoting their new releases. McAdams is the star of Sam Raimi\u2019s \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/send-help\/\" id=\"auto-tag_send-help\" data-tag=\"send-help\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Send Help<\/a>,\u201d which has topped the box office in its first two weekend of release. Robbie headlines \u201cWuthering Heights\u201d opposite Jacob Elordi.
