Medical examinations revealed a lower leg injury that rules him out of the 2026 Olympic Games. We wish <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/kevin-fiala\/8477942\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/kevin-fiala\/8477942\" target=\"_blank\">Kevin Fiala<\/a> a good and speedy recovery,\u201d the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/los-angeles-kings\/26\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/los-angeles-kings\/26\" target=\"_blank\">Los Angeles Kings<\/a> winger got tangled in the corner with Canada forward <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/tom-wilson\/8476880\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/tom-wilson\/8476880\" target=\"_blank\">Tom Wilson<\/a> and fell awkwardly to the ice. He immediately called for assistance. Fiala had 20:08 of ice time prior to the injury.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Canada won the game 5-1.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Fiala had an assist in Switzerland\u2019s 4-0 win over France on Thursday to open Group A play. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A 29-year-old native of St. Gallen, Fiala is in his 12th NHL season and fourth with the Kings.
