LIHUE, Hawaii \u2013 Grand Canyon men’s golf completed Day 2 of the John A. Burns Intercollegiate on Friday, carding a 6-over scorecard to move to 17 over for the tournament\u00a0and 14th place among\u00a019 teams.<\/p>\n
DAY TWO RESULTS<\/a><\/p>\n Loyola Marymount, which\u00a0led the field after the first 18 holes, is joined by No. 32 Texas A&M at the top with an 8-under score. No. 38 UNLV is third at 5 under par.<\/p>\n The Lopes improved by five strokes from Monday’s first round with multiple Lopes moving up the player leaderboard. GCU junior Gavin O’Neill<\/a> and sophomore teammate Nixon Lauritzen<\/a> climbed 13 spots to a tie for 45th at 4 over par, both carding 1-over second rounds. The duo each had three birdies on the day.<\/p>\n GCU freshman Daniel Nilsson<\/a> moved up 10 spots with a 1-over second day, moving his total score to 6 over. Nilsson began Friday with a birdie on the par-4 seventh hole, and finished 1 under over his final 10 holes.<\/p>\n Lopes sophomore M\u00e5ns Boje shot 3 over and is 9 over for the tourney, while sophomore teammate Matthew Diehl<\/a> shot 6 over after an even-par first round.<\/p>\n
