{"id":474344,"date":"2026-02-14T11:11:09","date_gmt":"2026-02-14T11:11:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/474344\/"},"modified":"2026-02-14T11:11:09","modified_gmt":"2026-02-14T11:11:09","slug":"david-price-confident-wardley-vs-dubois-ends-in-a-knockout-hes-dangerous","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/474344\/","title":{"rendered":"David Price confident Wardley vs Dubois ends in a knockout: &#8220;He&#8217;s dangerous&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>David Price has offered a knockout prediction for Fabio Wardley vs Daniel Dubois, which is now set for May 9.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.skysports.com\/boxing\/news\/12040\/13507071\/fabio-wardley-to-defend-wbo-heavyweight-title-against-daniel-dubois-at-co-op-live-arena-in-manchester-on-may-9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">The fight at the Co-op Live in Manchester<\/a> will be Wardley\u2019s first title defence since being elevated from \u2018interim\u2019 to full WBO champion, shortly after Oleksandr Usyk vacated his belt last year.<\/p>\n<p>Before that, the 31-year-old claimed a stunning 11th-round finish over Joseph Parker in October, cementing himself as possibly the most dangerous puncher in his division.<\/p>\n<p>That reputation, however, could equally belong to Dubois, who has not fought since losing his IBF title via a fifth-round stoppage against Usyk in July.<\/p>\n<p>Now the Londoner has an immediate stab at becoming a two-time world champion, albeit in a risky assignment that could quite easily go either way.<\/p>\n<p>In the wake of his second defeat to Usyk, Dubois opted to join forces with Essex trainer Tony Sims but has since <a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/news\/dubois-reason-he-returned-to-don-charles\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reignited his relationship with head coach Don Charles<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Together, they have previously claimed stoppage victories over Anthony Joshua, Filip Hrgovic and Jarrell Miller, and will look to orchestrate a similar outcome against Wardley.<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/v0TPk4x_87Q?si=6VJHbhxYGecCvi1C\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Seconds Out<\/a> interview with Olympic bronze medallist Price, though, Wardley has a \u2018great chance\u2019 of stopping Dubois with his superior speed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAny heavyweight\u2019s always dangerous, but Daniel Dubois is possibly the most dangerous heavyweight in the world at the minute, despite losing his last fight.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat being said, Fabio Wardley\u2019s got great momentum, unbelievable hand speed for a heavyweight and a real fan-friendly style.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[Dubois] can be hit relatively easily and, because of the speed of Fabio Wardley\u2019s punches, I think he\u2019s got a great chance of knocking Daniel Dubois out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut he\u2019s got to not make one mistake.
