LIHUE, Hawaii \u2013 LMU men’s golf won the John A. Burns Intercollegiate with three days of under par play, the only team to do finish under par for all three rounds at the Ocean Course at Hokuala. The Lions shot 10-under to win by five strokes and finish at 276-276-278\u2014830.

\nLMU placed above seven team ranked in the top-42 of the college golf clippd rankings, with No. 32 Texas A&M and No. 38 UNLV tying for second at 5-under under par. This is the first team win for the program since Head Coach Jason D’Amore<\/a> led the team to a win in the Kapolei Classic in Hawaii back in 2023.

\nNo team recorded more birdies than the 55 totaled by LMU. The Lions also added three eagles across the three days.

\nThe Lions were lifted by the tournament win by Trevor Algya<\/a>. The senior shot 8-under par for the three days after a final round 64 sealed the victory. Algya’s Saturday round included his second eagle of the event and seven birdies to finish at 67-71-64\u2014202.

\nNateesh Anatha Ganesh<\/a> (69-65-74\u2014208) earned a top-10 finish after finishing in a three-way tie for 10th\u00a0at 208.

\nFinishing a stroke back, Louie Liu<\/a> shot 71-71-67\u2014209. His best round of the event opened with an eagle on his first hole and three birdies to follow on Saturday.

\nPablo Garcia Terol<\/a> finished in a tie for 30th\u00a0of the 111 players at 72-69-73\u2014214.

\nJackson McLaughlin<\/a> shot 69-74-77\u2014220 to close out the LMU five.

\nThe team will next compete at The Desimore Invitational from Daly City, Calif., on March 9 and 10.<\/p>\n
