<\/p>\n Syracuse, NY – Women’s Tennis swept the top four singles matches to defeat Colgate 4-2 in women’s tennis action Sunday.<\/p>\n Colgate claimed the doubles point with victories in two of three matches. Sophia Montero and Amelia Galin defeated Isabel Garcia<\/a> and Gabriela Melo<\/a> 7-5 at No. 1 doubles, while Avery Isaac and Rebecca Hess topped Saloni Tamang<\/a> and Julia Clarke-Louie<\/a> 6-4 at No. 3 doubles.<\/p>\n Niagara salvaged one win as Larisa Kotok<\/a> and Valeria Mora<\/a> rolled past Carina Cristobal and Sasha Herman 6-3 at No. 2 doubles, but the Raiders held a 1-0 advantage heading into singles.<\/p>\n The Purple Eagles turned the match around with a commanding singles performance, winning four straight matches at the top of the lineup to clinch the team victory.<\/p>\n Garcia set the tone at No. 1 singles, defeating Galin 6-4, 6-3. Melo followed with a 7-5, 6-2 victory over Montero at No. 2 singles, and Kotok dominated Hess 6-4, 6-4 at No. 3 singles.<\/p>\n Tamang completed the sweep of the top four positions with a convincing 6-3, 6-3 win over Anya Kunar at No. 4 singles.<\/p>\n With the match already decided, the final two singles matches produced split results.
