EAU CLAIRE, Wis.\u00a0\u2014 The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men’s tennis team hosted two duals on Sunday against Lawrence University and UW-Superior. The team won their duals 7-0 and 5-2 respectively.<\/p>\n
Dual one saw the Blugolds\u00a0win two of their three matches in doubles play.\u00a0The pairing of Pablo Rincon and Danylo Ripeckyj\u00a0took down their competition in the first doubles match of the day 6-2. In match two, Peyton Sheffert<\/a> and Jack Michaud<\/a> defeated their opponents 6-0.<\/p>\n In singles play, the Blugolds\u00a0swept their matches. Pablo Rincon, Emilio Monge<\/a>, and Andrew Mueller<\/a> each won their matched 6-0, and 6-2 giving the team three match victories towards their total. Danylo Ripeckyj\u00a0took down Gabriel Garcia 6-2, 6-0, Logan Carroll<\/a> won 6-3, 6-1, and Ethan Heidtke<\/a> defeated Devin Guns 6-2, 6-2.<\/p>\n Dual two also saw the Blugolds\u00a0end victorious in two of three doubles matches. The Rincon-Ripeckyj\u00a0partnership won their second doubles match of the day 6-3. Billy Hughes<\/a> and Ethan Leeser<\/a> won their doubles mathc 6-3 to finish off doubles play.<\/p>\n In singles play of dual two, the Blugols won four of thier six mathces. Rincon,\u00a0Sam Murillo<\/a>, and Monge each won thier maches in three sets.
