Background<\/p>\n
Recent large-scale outbreaks\u00a0have highlighted how\u00a0health facilities (HFs) with limited or no infection prevention and control (IPC) capacities can amplify emerging infectious disease transmission within facilities and communities and across borders. To mitigate the risk of disease transmission, WHO has developed the\u00a0The Framework and toolkit for infection prevention and control outbreak preparedness, readiness and response at the national level (IPC-OFT)<\/a>\u00a0and the corresponding\u00a0Implementation Manual<\/a>, that is an actionable tool specifically designed to practical implementation, aiming to support the countries to improve the capacity to respond to public health emergencies.
