EVANSTON, Ill. (WLS) — When Grace Sullivan transferred to Northwestern University last season, it felt like a basketball dream come true for the Antioch native.<\/p>\n

“I thought it would be amazing,” Sullivan said. “The family aspect helps a lot.”<\/p>\n

That support has certainly helped Sullivan reach new heights this year, averaging a team high 22 points per game. She is tied for 11th in the country.<\/p>\n

But it is no surprise to those who watched her captain Carmel Catholic to their first-ever state title in 2022, with the same hard work and determination in her transition to the Wildcats.<\/p>\n

Her coach described her as “a quiet leader.”<\/p>\n

Sullivan’s success has drawn attention from WNBA scouts, something she never thought possible, until now. But it has become her next goal in a journey she knows is not done yet.<\/p>\n

“It’s just surreal,” Sullivan said. “Hope to get there.”<\/p>\n
