Here\u2019s what you need to know about what\u2019s open and closed on the Family Day holiday Monday in Brampton.<\/p>\n
Open:<\/p>\n
Movie theatres.
\nShoppers Drug Mart locations.
\nSome smaller grocery stores, such as Rabba.
\nMost convenience stores.
\nSome restaurants (call ahead to be sure).
\nBramalea City Centre will have reduced hours of operation from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
\nMount Chinguacousy tube hill open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
\nSome Brampton Recreation Centres are open for drop-in swimming, skating and sports (call ahead or check online to be sure).
\nOutdoor skating rinks.
\nPeel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) with free admission.
\nAll essential and critical services including Peel Regional Police, Brampton Fire and Emergency Services, Traffic Services, By-Law Enforcement, Road Operations, and Security Services.<\/p>\n

LCBO stores.
\nThe Beer Store.
\nShoppers World.
\nMost major grocery stores.
\nAll Brampton Library branches.
\nBrampton Animal Shelter.
\nProvincial Government offices.
\nBanks.
\nCity Hall and select corporate facilities will be closed on Monday, reopening and resuming walk-in services on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Transit<\/p>\n
Brampton Transit will operate on a modified holiday service schedule on Family Day.
\nGO Transit will operate on a Saturday schedule.<\/p>\n
Garbage<\/p>\n

Garbage pickup is cancelled on Family Day across Brampton and the Region of Peel. Waste scheduled for pick-up on Monday will be collected on Tuesday instead.
\nAll Community Recycling Centres will be closed on Family Day Monday and will return to the regular schedule on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
