Sundeep Sekhon has finally been arrested and charged with a fatal hit-and-run, over a year after he allegedly murdered a pedestrian with his vehicle.<\/p>\n

According to police, the woman was crossing the intersection on a green light when the collision occurred.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, a pedestrian was struck by a black SUV while crossing at the crosswalk on Bristol Road West at Loonlake Avenue in Mississauga. The driver fled the scene without providing assistance,\u201d Peel Police wrote in a release<\/a> on Friday. \u201cThe victim, a woman in her twenties, was transported to a trauma centre, where she later succumbed to her injuries.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sekhon, 26, fled the scene. The woman, in her 20s, was taken to the hospital, where she later died.<\/p>\n

Sekhon was apprehended on Wednesday after an extensive investigation. He was charged with failure to stop after an accident resulting in death and dangerous operation causing death.<\/p>\n

Sekhon was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.<\/p>\n
