A 70-year-old man has died after being struck by a semi-tractor-trailer in Panorama Hills on Monday, police said.<\/p>\n

Officers responded to the parking lot of a Save-On-Foods on the 200 block of Panatella Hill NW at around 11:30 a.m.<\/p>\n

They say it happened when the man was walking across a marked crosswalk when he was struck by the semi as it was backing up to unload cargo.<\/p>\n

EMS says he was rushed to hospital in serious but stable condition, but police said at around 2:30 p.m. he died of his injuries.<\/p>\n

The driver of the truck remained on scene.<\/p>\n

With the death of a two-year-old<\/a> on Sunday, this is the second fatal collision involving a pedestrian in less than 24 hours. Officers say this is the seventh traffic fatality of 2026.<\/p>\n
