Canada Post will also be operational.<\/p>\n<p>Closed<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, a number of businesses and attractions will be closed, including Erin Mills Town Centre, Heartland Town Centre, Dixie Outlet Mall and other major malls in the city.\u00a0Most major grocery stores, all Beer Store and LCBO locations, banks, libraries, non-emergency provincial and municipal offices (including City Hall) and non-emergency Region of Peel offices will be closed.<\/p>\n<p>Transit users should note that MiWay will operate on a holiday schedule (check online) and GO Transit will operate on a Saturday schedule.<\/p>\n<p>Waste will be collected one day later.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yourcitywithin.com\/toronto-whats-closed-and-open-family-day-february-16-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Toronto<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Open<\/p>\n<p>In Toronto, some shopping centres and grocery stores will be open, including the Eaton Centre, Eataly (all locations), Rabba grocery stores, Summerhill Market, Wellington Market, Wine Rack locations and the Waterworks Food Hall. Most tourist attractions will also be open, including Ripley\u2019s Aquarium, the AGO, the Toronto Zoo, the ROM, the CN Tower, the Aga Khan Museum, Casa Loma, Allan Gardens Conservatory, Centennial Park Conservatory, The Well and Riverdale Farm. Restaurants, cafes and bars that are typically open on Mondays will likely be operational, but call ahead to be sure. Most drug stores and pharmacies will also be open. Canada Post will also be operational.<\/p>\n<p>Closed<\/p>\n<p>Non-emergency provincial and municipal offices (including City Hall) will be closed, along with banks and libraries. The St. Lawrence Market, all LCBO and Beer Store locations, Dufferin Mall, Yorkdale, Sherway Gardens, Scarborough Town Centre and most major grocery stores will be closed.<\/p>\n<p>The TTC will offer holiday service and GO Transit will run on a Saturday schedule.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Waste collection will not be impacted.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.insauga.com\/family-day-in-brampton-whats-open-and-closed\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Brampton<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Open<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, Feb. 16, a number of places will be open, including movie theatres, most drug stores and pharmacies, some smaller grocery stores (such as Rabba locations), most corner and convenience stores, most cafes, restaurants and bars that are typically open on Mondays (call ahead to confirm), some recreation centres, Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (with free admission) and all essential government services. Bramalea City Centre will be open at reduced hours.<\/p>\n<p>Canada Post will also be operational.<\/p>\n<p>Closed<\/p>\n<p>A number of businesses and services will be closed, including all LCBO and Beer Store locations, Shoppers World, most major grocery stores, libraries, banks, Brampton Animal Shelter and all non-emergency provincial and municipal government offices (including City Hall).<\/p>\n<p>Brampton Transit will operate on a modified holiday service schedule and GO Transit will operate on a Saturday schedule.<\/p>\n<p>Waste will be collected one day later.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.insauga.com\/whats-closed-and-open-on-family-day-2025-in-burlington-oakville-milton\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Halton \u2013 Burlington, Oakville, Milton<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Open<\/p>\n<p>On Family Day, residents can visit most cafes, restaurants and bars that are typically open on Mondays (call ahead to be sure), most corner and convenience stores, most drug stores and pharmacies (including most Shoppers Drug Mart locations), movie theatres, federal government offices, some community centres, the Burlington Rotary Centennial Pond (open for skating), the Glen Abbey and Iroquois Ridge library branches in Oakville, the Milton Sports Centre, the Mattamy National Cycling Centre and Toronto Premium Outlets.<\/p>\n<p>Canada Post will also be operational.<\/p>\n<p>Closed<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, banks, non-essential provincial, regional and municipal services (including city and town halls), Beer Store and LCBO locations, most libraries, Oakville Place, Milton Mall, Burlington Centre and Mapleview Centre will be closed.<\/p>\n<p>Oakville Transit will operate on a holiday schedule, Burlington Transit will run on a Sunday schedule and Milton Transit will not operate. GO Transit will run on a Saturday schedule.<\/p>\n<p>All waste collection will be one day later than usual.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.insauga.com\/whats-closed-and-open-family-day-in-hamilton-feb-17-2025\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hamilton<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Open<\/p>\n<p>On Feb. 16, residents can visit most drug stores and pharmacies, federal government offices, movie theatres, Hamilton Civic Museums (most are hosting Family Day events), select recreation centres, some arenas (which will be open for skating), the Royal Botanical Gardens, the Tropical Greenhouse at Gage Park and most cafes, restaurants and bars that are typically open on Mondays (call ahead to be sure).<\/p>\n<p>Canada Post will operate as usual.<\/p>\n<p>Closed<\/p>\n<p>A number of places will be closed, including banks, libraries, all LCBO and Beer Store locations, all non-emergency provincial and municipal offices (including City Hall), the Hamilton Farmers\u2019 Market, most major grocery stores, CF Lime Ridge and Animal Services.<\/p>\n<p>Hamilton Street Railway buses will operate at a Sunday service level and Trans-Cab service will align with HSR Sunday schedules. DARTS will be operating on holiday service hours. GO Transit will run on a Saturday schedule.<\/p>\n<p>Waste will be collected one day later.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.insauga.com\/family-day-2025-niagara-falls-st-catharines-welland-and-niagara-region-whats-open-and-closed\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Niagara Region \u2013 Niagara Falls, St. Catharines<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Open<\/p>\n<p>On Family Day, a number of places will be open, including Canada One in Niagara Falls, the Outlet Collection in Niagara-on-the-Lake, some smaller grocery stores, most drug stores and pharmacies, most wineries and breweries (call ahead), movie theatres, most tourist attractions (including Ripley\u2019s Museum, the Niagara SkyWheel, Movieland Wax Museum, Louis Tussauds Clifton Hill, Bird Kingdom, the Butterfly Conservatory and more), federal government offices, the Niagara Falls Exchange and the Niagara Falls History Museum.<\/p>\n<p>Canada Post will operate as usual, as will most cafes, restaurants and bars that are usually open on Mondays (call ahead to confirm).<\/p>\n<p>Closed<\/p>\n<p>All non-essential provincial, regional and municipal offices (including city and town halls) will be closed, along with banks, LCBO and Beer Store locations, the Pen Centre in St. Catharines, Fairview Mall in St. Catharines and Seaway Mall in Welland.<\/p>\n<p>GO Transit will operate on a Saturday schedule and Niagara Transit will offer conventional bus service in St. Catharines, Niagara Falls and Welland.
