Total disrespect,” one fan fumed.

“@Daniel_SuarezG is an American citizen. He did it the correct way. Absolutely uncalled for,” another added. However, it’s also important to note that Suarez started on Row 8 with the No. 47 of Ricky Stenhouse Jr., who managed to surge to second following a wreck involving Riley Herbst, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano, and Elliott, meters from the finish line.

“He’s just happy for Stenhouse,” one noted. “So we’re not going to mention that Stenhouse finished 2nd and probably has some fans that were excited about that? Why are we jumping to the worst conclusion?” another viewer responded.

Stenhouse Jr. was in contention to win the Daytona 500 on Lap 200. In the end, he had to settle for second — but it was still a massive result for the team, given the new “Chase” championship format that rewards drivers for consistency across the season. Points will be valuable for making the postseason rather than “win, and you’re in.”

“These superspeedway races turn out crazy,” Stenhouse said. “There for a moment, the wreck happened coming out of the tri-oval, and I took the lead going into (Turn) 1. I was like, ‘Man, sweet. Throw the caution!’

“That was about where the caution came out when we won our 500 in ’23 — and it didn’t. It put the 9 (Chase Elliott), me, and the 45 (Tyler Reddick) three-wide — and then the help went with them.”

“It’s never bad to finish in the top-five in the Daytona 500,” Stenhouse continued. “It’s a big race, and we have left here finishing in the 30s and have been pretty down about that.

“So, on one hand, it’s good because our strategy worked out perfectly today. We stuck to it.”

Daniel Suarez, the only Mexican driver in the NASCAR Cup Series, saw his post-race interview at the Daytona…

[446
49,48,1376,2332,634,82
0":"post-481045","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-nascar","8":"tag-ca","9":"tag-canada","10":"tag-donald-trump","11":"tag-motorsport-section","12":"tag-nascar","13":"tag-sports
["GET
