In December, The Realist reported that the nearly-complete 28-storey tower at 2538 Birch Street in Vancouver by Jameson Development had been placed under creditor protection<\/a> and was set to be sold to First Peoples Group for $235 million. New court documents reveal that the sale has since been terminated and that the project will go through a \u201cdifferent restructuring path.\u201d<\/a> <\/p>\n

Allied Properties REIT has taken over \u201ccomplete operational control\u201d of the KING Toronto project<\/a> it\u2019s co-developing with Westbank. Allied also launched an equity financing round<\/a>, sold 16 million units to AIMCo<\/a>, and its unit price has fallen over 30% the past week.<\/p>\n

OneCity has officially chosen William Azaroff<\/a> as their mayoral candidate. Azaroff is the CEO of Brightside Community Homes and now joins Pete Fry (Green Party), Kareem Allam (Vancouver Liberals), and Rebecca Bligh (Vote Vancouver) as the challengers to Mayor Ken Sim (ABC Vancouver).<\/p>\n

On the provincial level, the BC Greens have ended their cooperation agreement with the NDP<\/a>, citing a lack of progress on commitments.<\/p>\n
