Peel Regional Police say that two women were injured, one critically, following a two-vehicle collision in Mississauga on Monday evening.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police said in a post on X that the crash occurred at approximately 6:24 p.m.\u00a0in the area\u00a0of\u00a0Mississauga Road and Beaverbrook Way.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Both victims are females. One\u00a0of them\u00a0sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local trauma\u00a0centre\u00a0in critical condition.\u00a0Other\u00a0injured\u00a0was\u00a0taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police have arrested a male driver. Authorities have not yet announced what charges, if any, he may face. The circumstances leading up to the collision remain under investigation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As a result of the crash, Mississauga Road\u00a0was closed between Beaverbrook Way and\u00a0north of Sheridan Way\u00a0and roads have since re-opened.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
