Folks who keep up on celebrity sightings<\/a> in and around Vancouver have become well known with Vij\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Over the years, the Indian restaurant \u2014 brought to us by Chef Vikram Vij \u2014 has seen dozens of celebrities walking through its doors. Most recently, the cast of The Lord of the Rings was spotted dining in the restaurant.<\/p>\n

\u201cWelcoming Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan to Vij\u2019s felt surreal \u2014 four incredible artists whose work has brought so much joy to audiences around the world, gathered around our table in Vancouver,\u201d shared the restaurant on Instagram.<\/p>\n

Wood (who plays Frodo in the film), Astin (Samwise Gamgee), Boyd (Pippin), and Monaghan (Merry) were in town to greet fans at Fan Expo<\/a> for the 25th anniversary of\u00a0The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, which launched the legendary film franchise.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re so grateful to share our food and hospitality with wonderful guests. Moments like these remind us why we love what we do,\u201d shared Vij\u2019s, adding that each star walked away with a copy of My New Indian Kitchen, Chef Vij\u2019s new cookbook co-authored with Jennifer Muttoo.<\/p>\n

As previously mentioned, Vij\u2019s is no strager to the limelight, with the likes of Sandra Oh (Grey\u2019s Anatomy, Arliss, and\u00a0Killing Eve),\u00a0Tom Cruise (Top Gun, Mission Impossible,\u00a0and\u00a0Jack Reacher), Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones, Star Wars,\u00a0and\u00a0Captain America: Brave New World), and Robin Williams (Mrs. Doubtfire, Good Will Hunting,\u00a0and\u00a0Dead Poets Society) all having dined at the restaurant.<\/p>\n

Most recently, two-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank<\/a> was seen making a repeat visit to Vij\u2019s.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlways nice to see a familiar face,\u201d wrote the restaurant on Instagram. \u201cHilary Swank stopping by for her Vij\u2019s takeout fix.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chef Vij is also preparing to join the star-studded lineup of chefs opening new concepts at Time Out Market Vancouver<\/a>, including Top Chef Canada season 11 winner<\/a> Chanthy Yen, Nutcha Phanthoupheng<\/a>, Robert Feenie, and more.<\/p>\n

Of course, Vij\u2019s isn\u2019t the only hot spot for celebrity dining in the city. Jeremy Allen White<\/a>,\u00a0Hasan Minhaj, and Ronny Chieng<\/a> were also spotted at Vancouver restaurants recently.<\/p>\n
