Among the options out there, the Jets shouldn\u2019t have a hard time finding the guys they want, whether it be one or a few.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Connor Hughes of SNY pointed to Alec Pierce as a potential option as New York looks for ways to add proven production and explosiveness to its passing game.<\/p>\n<p>Pierce\u2019s connection to Jets offensive coordinator Frank Reich dates back to the draft process, which could be a good thing to look at.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was Reich who selected Pierce in the second round of the 2022 draft. As a rookie, he caught 41 passes for 593 yards and two touchdowns. Since then, he has developed into one of the league\u2019s ascending receivers, finishing the 2025 season with 47 receptions for 1,003 yards and six scores,\u201d Hughes <a href=\"https:\/\/sny.tv\/articles\/5-free-agents-jets-target-2026-offseason\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:wrote;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Pierce is coming off his best season yet, which is certainly something to keep in mind. However, it could\u2019ve been a breakout season and not a one-and-done type of thing.<\/p>\n<p>Landing Pierce, however, may be more expensive than it might seem as of now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe obstacle for the Jets is cost. Pierce is widely viewed as the top wide receiver potentially available, particularly if the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/us\/nfl\/dallas-cowboys\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Cowboys;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Cowboys<\/a> place the franchise tag on George Pickens.
