Changes are coming to several Brampton Transit routes, including updated schedules and better service to meet rider demands.<\/p>\n

Starting next month, several routes \u201cwill be adjusted for operational changes, updated schedules, improved service reliability or to align with ridership demand,\u201d the city says in a release.<\/p>\n

Brampton Transit riders and revenues dropped 13 per cent last year, and the city has said it will adjust for the dip without cutting any routes.<\/p>\n

City Council also recently approved the first new fare hike for Brampton Transit riders since 2023, bringing the total cost for a cash fare up to $4.75 from $4.50. Find out how much more it now costs to take the bus in Brampton<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Here are all the changes coming to Brampton Transit routes, starting March 2.<\/p>\n

Brampton Transit (BT) on Demand:<\/p>\n

The BT On Demand pilot will conclude and will no longer be in service after Feb. 27. The application will no longer be available for trip planning or bookings.<\/p>\n

Route 301 Westcreek Employment Shuttle:<\/p>\n

The new Route 301 Westcreek Employment Shuttle will provide businesses and employees on Westcreek Boulevard with a direct and convenient travel option, replacing the BT On Demand pilot service.<\/p>\n

Route 301 Westcreek will operate on weekdays with targeted scheduled times to align with typical work hours in this area, providing a dependable and dedicated transportation option for commuting.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis employment shuttle will service Westcreek Boulevard, Tomken Road, Steeles Avenue and Bramalea GO, and connects with other major Brampton Transit, MiWay and GO Transit services to ensure seamless transfers and enhanced travel options,\u201d the city says.<\/p>\n
